Pedometer Obsessed?

Posted by Fitness Dragon on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, In : Fitness update
I hear a lot about scale obsession but my obsession seems to be more with the pedometer. I keep my step goal a little low to ensure I always make it and have a certain number of steps I have to have every hour or I start wondering around.

Ok so maybe that does not sound to bad, moving is always a good thing right? Well yes. The truly bad part of this is that once I notice my steps are not where I think they should be I immediately start badgering myself, putting myself down because I am not ...

update on progress

Posted by Fitness Dragon on Thursday, May 20, 2010, In : Fitness update

I have been at a standstill for the last month or so. It has been very frustrating.

However, after a visit to the DR - I have high cholesterol - I did a re-evaluation of my diet and found out I was eating too much fats so I cut the fat down and have lost about 4 pounds this week.

It took 40 years to reach this weight and it will not be gone overnight but i really wish it would go away faster than it is. I know that I am eating right and exercising and the weight is going away at a safe and effective manner.

So despite my impatience I will continue on my journey knowing it will take time but the results I am getting now will be easier to...

I have been a bit busy the last few days.  There is snow here between 2 - 3 feet depending on where you are - which has keep us a bit confined.

I have been updated the web site and my daily workout. I always do my daily back stretching (I have back problems and these were given to me by my Physical Therapist - they help a lot) exercises but I have started adding a daily 15 minute walk. I do cardio Monday, Wednesday and Friday  and  strength training on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. This s...
