Eating out

February 17, 2010

My daughter and I went out to lunch yesterday. Instead of the side salad (vinaigrette dressing) and fruit with an English muffin (plain – add a little jelly) I had planed I got a boca burger with no cheese and french fries. The planed meal would have been about 400 calories, 10 g Fat, 61 g carbs and 6 g protein.

The meal eaten was 770 calories 15 g fiber, 34 g fat, 107 carbs.

The result – I was too full, did not get in all the health food I normally have in the afternoon. Snack is usually a few mixed nuts and dinner is lots for fresh veggies and a protein. A great way to end the day.

Yesterday – I had to force myself to eat a vegetable soup around 6:30 pm (I do not eat after 7pm if I can help it).

This was not a good thing and I learned my lesson. As long as I am trying to loose weight and am watching my calorie intake – I need to stick with my planed meals.

Update Monday Feb 16 2010

February 16, 2010

School is out again today. Even the kids are wanting to go back. Why the bus stops have snow at them. The school has been out over a week and this is really bad planing on the county's part.

I understand our kids have to be safe but with better planing on the governments part the kids would not have to miss so much school

I have kicked up my aerobic exercise again. Walking every hour for about 5 minutes. It help relax me and gives me just a little bit more that I have done. IT is really n...

Web seminars

February 15, 2010
Wow, I spent the day on two Web seminars. I learned a lot and know I will put it into effect.

They explained a great deal about how to lose weight and get healthy. I am following the plan.

  2. Slowly lower caloric intake (too fast and we feel like we are starving

  3. add aerobic exercises

  4. add resistance training.

The classes were a lot of fun and contained a lot of information on training techniques that look like a lot of fun.

They stressed variety...

OK – here are the photos I promised. Some of the quality is not that good – they were scaned.

The first on is from June 1980. I was 12 years old. That is my dog Rusty with me. If you are wondering why I am holding his mouth. There was another dog in the photo and Rusty while very friendly with kids – did not like other dogs.

This my daughter and I taken in April 2001.

My day job is as a programmer – helpdesk person for a transportation project – I just happen to work from home. So while everyone else was off this week – I have been putting in my full time.

Any way, I thought you might like to get to know me a little bit.

I am 41 – born April 10, 1968 in Baltimore, MD...
